If I Should Go Tomorrow
If I should go tomorrow
It would never be goodbye,
For I have left my heart with you,
So don’t you ever cry.
The love that’s deep within me,
Shall reach you from the stars,
You’ll feel it from the heavens,
And it will heal the scars.
Of course we are going to cry, it’s a natural way of grieving for the ones that we have lost. We loved them, we don’t want them to go. Unfortunately, life doesn’t work that way. At sometime or another it will happen to all of us. Because of that very reason, we need it to be a Celebration of Life.
Celebrating the life of your loved one can be done in so many ways. You can have elements of your loved one’s personality included in the eulogy, poems that they loved, music, songs, and readings. Even though we are non-religious celebrants, I am more than happy to add religious connotations such as prayers or hymns. This is the beauty of having a celebrant conduct the Celebration of Life (Funeral) for you and it is all about your loved one at the end of the day.
The first part is the consultation where I will ask you some questions about your loved one so that I can write a bespoke and heartfelt script. I will be in contact with you so that if you have anything you want to add, such as a family member saying a reading or poem, it will be added.
People say that they understand what you are going through and their sentiments are well meant, but if they haven’t experienced this kind of loss, then empathy is what they reall mean and feel.
I have been through this myself. My wonderful mum passed away in 2017 and we had a traditional church service. If I’m honest, we were not given the choice of having a celebrant conduct our service and I so wish that we had. My mum was a very bubbly, loving, strong Welsh lady and as a family we would have loved to have the opportunity to have personalised her ceremony that would have really reflected her personality and love.
If a Celebration of Life ceremony is what you would love for your loved one, then please contact me. I am very thoughtful, warm and caring. Below are words from the family and friends of loved ones that I conducted the Celebration of Life ceremony for.
“Hello Lisa. Just a note to thank you for conducting the service for my dad last Friday, everyone commented on how well it went and what a lovely service it was“
“Hi Terry can you tell Lisa she done an amazing job today, Trish would be smiling down on us all, it was amazing”…. Sarah Jane
“Thank you so much for today. Amazing service”. Sean Lynne
“Lisa Kendell you did such a lovely job. Thank you so much.” Joanne Moggridge
“I’d like to thank you again for your role in Tricia’s celebration, it was absolutely spot on and helped make the most difficult of days a little bit easier. I heard many comments about how the tone was just right. And yes your ode was a definite highlight.” Best wishes, Colin Miller xxx
“Thank you so much, hope you are staying safe and well. If anyone ever needs your services, I will highly recommend you. I just wish that we had known about you before. Take care….Leanne.”
Services for Infants and Children
We all hope that this never ever happens , why should such a beautiful life be taken away from us. I know that at a time like this there are no words to describe the emotion and heart-break felt for a life that hasn’t yet been lived.
Again, depending on the circumstances you can have a celebration. Dedicated funerals, a meaningful memorial or a commemorative service can be created whether the infant was at post-birth or not. It is important to remember the passing of an innocent delicate life.
I will follow your lead on whatever you want and I assure you that it will be a very respectful and beautiful service. I am honoured that you would ask me to conduct this ceremony for you…….xxx
